Map layer for haulers and old trails?

Does anyone know of a downloadable map layer (e.g. for use with NZtopo50 app) that shows old hauler tracks and old trails?

I've seen them showing on a physical GPS unit, Garmin inreach or something similar, and the haulers and several old tracks in the Kaimanawas were on it. Super useful at times. They don't show on NZtopo50 so I'm hoping to download it as a custom layer but I can't find anything online.

It’s possible they’ll be visible on older versions of the topo maps, if you were able to find a source with various historical topo map layers you could sort through.

Try google earth and use the time slider to go back as far as photos allow,it's not perfect but a lot shows up when you take twenty years of regrowth away.

All the old series of topos available here digitally. Can be pretty interesting!

@Hunty1 is onto it. Mapspast is a fantastic resource. Pull up the topo maps from 60 years ago and then follow through the years and watch the 'brand new' hauler roads slowly get left off the maps as they get overgrown.
