    I used to work for the NZFS as a carpenter in the Southern Lakes / Otago area.
    Most probably put up some more photos for viewers enjoyment etc.

    Pakihi heads hut. Went there a year ago had just been cleaned up inside and cleared around the hut . Was pre roar so guessed someone was planning on going back . We camped on ridge above hut another hour further.
    Doesn’t get a lot of visitors by looks of hut book
