As long as person posting does their part, it seems to make sense to me. It just means a little bit more scrolling to see what is listed, also means you might see a bargain for sale that you didn't know you needed.
Rather than a separate section, would it be possible to add a filter to the buy / sell/ exchange? That we you could filter out all the wtb if you were shopping. Or could this be done with the search function (search wtb and only the wtb prefixes show up in the results? I can live with either leaving it as it is or changing. But I do like scrolling through them as a single group as sometimes I see stuff I want and other times I see people wanting stuff I have.....
There's a filter at the bottom of the page if you want to weed out the WTB folks

I don’t look at different sections on the forum, I just hit the new posts button so I get a list of all the threads with new posts, then open and read the ones that interest me.
