One supplier I looked at reckoned 82% saving on International shipping if using Bongo instead of just having items shipped directly to home in NZ.
I had a play and it was a bit cheaper. I could save about US$12 on a shipment.

One US company has a fixed rate of US$48 (this is for a light parcel containing a few artists brushes I wanted).
The brushes were way cheaper than NZ prices but 'oh boy' the shipping made up the difference!
Nz post has a system set up too. You get your stuff sent to an address in Oregon and it then gets forwarded to you. I signed up the other day and have a DVD coming as a test run. If it works ok I'll report back.

USPS is far cheaper for 99% of stuff esp flatrate boxes

I'm just looking for the best deal to bring in some artist brushes (for me).
Probably only 6 to 10 brushes, so not a heavy or large parcel.

$14 flatrate USPS box, get a friend in the US to ship them.
