Mobile versions of web sites generally drive me mad due to their limitations and the fact that modern phones can handle the desktop versions fine. There are two ways to get back to the normal desktop version (assuming you are using Chrome). Click ... in the top right of the screen for settings and then check "Request Desktop Version". Sometimes this works and sometimes not but if not some web sites (e.g. trade me) have a link to the desktop version of the site at the bottom of the web page.

This problem is even worse on a 10 inch android tablet. It's almost as big as a laptop and the mobile versions designed for 3 inch phones look particularly stupid.

Tapatalk doesn't do it for me either. On both my tablet and my phone I just run the desktop version of the forum web site.
