Is threading a Savage 99 for a suppressor sacrilege?
I got one in 243, it's the E model so no ammo counter or fancy foreend, not sure of age.
Worth doing?

Sacrilege!!!! But a man has to do what a man has to do...
that's why I'm torn :P
I'm of the "SUPPRESS EVERYTHING" mindset, centrefires, rimfires, even my shotgun, but this is the oldest candidate I've had to consider :P
Your gun, your rules, BUT what a shame.
Don’t ask me, I think putting a suppressor on any rifle is silly. Pardon? What’d you say?
Its yours, do whatever suits you, I'm not a great suppressor fan but I've threaded/otherwise modified rifles that would make others scream - I just say "well that makes the rest of them more valuable, so if you own one, I'm doing you a favour!"
Owning a savage is bad enough
Very good :)
i'm inexperienced with 243 but figured it would can about as effectively as a 308, which is generally worth doing, right?
Depends on condition. If it's drilled and tapped or otherwise complete.
Can always use electronic ear muffs
Sell it as is and buy 3 Remington that don't matter...
