    Na! Dirty D's are not made from new anymore. You can get a 40 yr old hull with new everything else. Theyre still building E's and F 's ah bugger it, a 520 then?

    It's in for serious bucks in 700 hrs. Would suit an operation making money but not a private machine imo.

    last chopper I was in was like Grandfathers Axe 500c manufacture date was 1978, older than the vessel it was supporting. Its maintenance must be colossal given where it lives

    Last time I flew off a boat they never even did a manual crack test on the blades.

    Oh I know this one is maintained at least when its here in NZ.

    Pilot remarked last year the maintenance cost was over 700K and they were just fitting a new turbine.

    I will say its better than any fairground ride too, they were dropping me off to shore but got called back jut after take off cause the boat made a set.

    Yeah fair enough. I flew for yanks and had a philipino engineer. Would never do that crappy work again. Boring and high risk for nothing.
