    500 copws Flogged

Stuff this morning. How the fuk can you have 5oo cows flogged from your farm and not be onto it. A cattle truck is not that invisible and they would have to use yards shorely. That's one hell of a financial loss to some one and it will be devastating to the Owners. Who's buying or what's the market, they got to go somewhere and it wont be the works. How far can they travel, and how may trucks and over what time period . So many questions , come on Mr Plod shake your wae wae

Theres more to this story than the version the media is giving out. Its absolutely impossible for this to happen. Couple of years of low dairy payouts has caused more than one farmer to resort to desperate measures to keep the bank happy, and my guess is insurance claim to try sort a cashflow problem, or the cows only ever existed on paper and now the bank wants to know where they are. But lets not speculate eh?

Sounds like it was over a period of time, not in one night.

500 pregnant cow's from a herd of 1300 can't just go missing unnoticed. 10 stock truck loads basically, can't just drop them to the works, even retagging and nait records would be hard to slip past anyone...
