    Airsoft

Anyone here know much about airsoft rifles? What brands should I be looking at, and what sites for the best deals? I'd like gas powered

    They're a lot like 20g shotguns.

Yeah. A 20g almost packs as much punch as an airsoft gun from what I gather.

I used to play... its great fun, and the overweight couch potato with a spotty face who turns up in everything starting with tactical is very rare... but it happens, normally only once...

I had a Colt licensed Inokatsu M4, which cost more than a real M4...
It was basically real steel size, I could fit most of my real steel parts in it, hence it was banned in the USA as to life like... yeh right...
I also have a full metal P226, which has the same functionality and disassembly as the real steel as well...

I gave it up as I wanted to spend more time with my kids, go figure my kids are to young for air soft, but ok for real steel.

    best places overseas are:
    - ehobbieasia HK
    - Redwolfairsoft.com HK
    - UNcompany.com HK
    - WCG shop HK
    - or ACG air soft gun centre, here in Auckland...

i'll dig out some info and give you ideas of good bad and ugly...

The guns below, were indistinguishable from the real thing, well at least to the untrained eye...

Seems like you would now need an import permit to bring any realistic airsoft guns into the country.

"The Arms (Military Style Semi-automatic Firearms and Import Controls) Amendment Act creates a new category of airgun – the restricted airgun. A restricted airgun is an airgun (with or without any of its attachments) that either:
has the appearance of being a pistol, restricted weapon, or military style semi-automatic firearm (MSSA),
Or is designed for use in airsoft or paintball sports and has the appearance of being a firearm capable of full automatic fire"

What do you want to use it for Toby?
I do air soft 3gun comps as the real thing is banned in Asia.
If you spend the coin you can't tell the difference even with them in your hand-my air soft at is set up the same as my real 3gun ar-mostly real part.
Getting something accurate is where the big $ come in, most are just used a bb hoses on full auto to walk the bb's onto target.

Do you want to plink in your garage?
