    Any plumbers out there?

I'm having one of those weeks - not only do I have oil in the radiator of the car - but the shower has suddenly stopped supplying hot water at home.

Pressure in rest of house fine - all other taps have hot water no problems - but shower is just supplying a tiny dribble.
What should I be looking at? Mixer - shower head ???
The bath which is right beside the shower (shares inbound feeds) has no issues...

    cheers

Just the hot feed a dribble or both feeds a dribble into the shower?
Take the head off and see if it has a build up of calcium?
If you can get at the inlet pipes and have a little idea, then turn water off and undo then see if you have a build up in the little filters.
These should be on the rubber washers look like a sieve.
If you can't get to the pipes then you will need to take the face plate off.
If it's siliconed on the run a flat blade around it. (You will need to silicon this back on when done to the water will get I behind and get into your wall)
You should then be able to get at the compression nuts. Use PTF tap when putting it back together and test for leaks before putting the face plate back on.
Still no hot water. Then it could be an air lock.
You need to take the shower head off and connect a hose to the cold feed GENTLY turn on the cold feed this will clear you air lock.
    Otherwise call a plumber

Just read back through my post? For air lock connect the hose to the shower out let! When turning on the cold water this forces the water back up and clears your air lock. If you can get your garden hose in through the window good, or take it from your cold bath tap.
    Hope this makes better sense

Start simple by first checking the inline filters at the mixer. Then go more complex.

Sweet - so the mixer will be removable in some way I'm guessing - just looks like a lift up handle on a ball socket type thing - I can't see any screws.......
On, and dumb question - do I need to turn water off before attempting to remove that?

Generally want to turn off the water main and the outlet from the hot water cylinder.

@Sideshow - thanks mate, I owe you a pint if I ever meet you.
You were near enough on the money - there were no filters! just a honeycomb of holes that made up the mixer and one side was full of junk - back to normal thank you very much.
I'm over the moon, had a decent hot shower for the first time in 3 days.
Oh, and found a reducing washer in the shower head, so its actually better than it was!!!
