Anyone in or around Ohakune? Can you help?

My daughter and her friend are attending Madigras in Ohakune on 22June. They have left arrangements late and cannot find any accommodations as everywhere they are trying is fully booked out. They are considering sleeping in the car but I reckon at that time of year they will freeze. This is a shout out to see if there is anyone on here that lives in and around Ohakune that has a couch or some other out of the cold place where they could sleep. @7mmwsm is that your neck of the woods?

Nah sorry @Rushy I'm just north of Mangakino. Probably a bit far to travel after a Madigra.
Is it the same as that Madigra they have in Melbourne?

Probably not but if the truth be told I’m buggered if I know what it’s about.

Im in Ohakune tomorrow for the night so will make some enquiries.

There's often accomodation advertised on the super market notice board too, so will take a look.

@Rushy I'm sure there are a few boys (and some girls) in Waiouru who would be happy to accommodate
