Anyone driving Wellington to Auckland in the next couple of weeks?

Hi guys. I am looking to find a fellow firearms licence holder / forum member that will be driving Wellington to Auckland in the next couple of weeks who would have the room in their vehicle and could act as a courier and transport a rifle and associated paraphernalia up to me.

I recently purchased a firearm in Wellington and had intention to drive down to pick it up but that plan turned sour as did my back up plan to have it brought up by an associate who frequently travels between the two cities.

In the event that this effort fails then I will explore getting it up by courier or return to plan A and just wait til I find the time to take the trip myself.

If you can help with this then I would appreciate it if you could let me know.

Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

Bump Anyone? I was lining up to take the road trip this weekend but now that has been scuttled by my mum having a cardiac event that has put her in hospital yesterday. @ebf the gun gods are really conspiring against me on this.

I appreciate your sentiment Jakewire. Mum is OK and back in her home now. 199P, the rifle is in safe hands for the moment and there is a long game plan in place if all else fails.

@Rushy. I'll be in Palmy on Tuesday and could pick it up off 199. Coming back to TeAwamutu on Tuesday night if that's any help.
