    anyone had a look at sharesies

    wondering how it looks to someone that knows a bit more about this kind of thing looks similar to what kiwi saver is in my limited knowledge

    A quick look throws up a few points:
    No tax credits or employer contributions like you can get with Kiwisaver.
    Most funds they invest in are Smartshares funds (9 out of the 11), its cheaper to invest in these funds directly and skip the extra Sharesies fees.
    Not locked in until retirement like Kiwisaver, but might still be harder getting money out than cashing in Smartshares units directly.

    It looks to only really be of use if you only have a few dollars to put in every now and then, otherwise you are either reducing your returns or increasing the fees paid for no benefit.
