    APPs whats good & Y

    As the title reads....

My vote is back country navigator. Bloody good for a perve when in discussion with whoever or when you get curious on the trot to check out the country...

Shooters not allowed to be suggested as thats a given

I saw a guy using one called "Theodolite" or something similar the other day. Looked quite cool.

Reckoned it allowed him to measures incline angle for shooting more accurately.

Shooter is good and has a feature to give you your real velocities, just write in ranges and the adjustments required and it adjusts variables to tell you the most accurrate solution from then on. I have it on my Ipod as I dont like taking my phone in the bush for the fear of loosing numbers etc (although a dumbell managed to land on my new Galaxy at the gym last night which makes moisture in the bush seem not such a threat afterall)
I saw a screen saver app the other day where you could play with the nipples that appeared on your screen (would get interesting responses lying on your desk at work)

Sure does- when I've used 'shooter' it did it by lying the phone along the axis of the scope/barrel and measuring the angle.

-This one did it visually using the Iphone camera. I didn't play with it, but he showed me and it looked pretty cool: drew crazy reference lines over shit in the picture etc.

-He said it was a more accurate way of measuring the angle, but I don't know if that is true.

My binos have a built in inclinometer
I have shooter on my phone but dont use the angle setting. Bit too time consuming and fiddlly for me.
Bino one has worked so far.
Would be interesting to test them against a proper inclinometer to see if either are very accurate.

Smart tools is pretty cool tho i doubt the accuraccy as just using the phones angle/ camera etc. not realy hunting related but it does have a angle/hight/range thing.

Where do I find this back country navigator?
"Hunting and fishing" fucking over licenced firearms owners since ages ago.

I use Knights Armament Bullet Flight - seems to fit better than anything else I've tried.
    Has angle in it also

Fantastic, thanks ! I'll add it to Windmeter which can take a rough wind speed measurement via the phone's microphone and Hawke BRC which works fine and quick for both air rifle and rimfire target shooting. Can also recommend Photosynth for taking wide panorama photos automatically and quickly, like this :

Rescaled to fit on this page though.
