An arm and a leg for at the cinema

I've been called many things in my short time, and one of the more accurate things is cheap. As in, stingy, tight, Dutch etc. I prefer frugal.

Went to the movies tonight with the lady (Tuesday is the cheap day), and as she had come straight from work she wanted a snack. Neither of us piss money so we asked how much for a medium drink and popcorn. I heard $14.90, she heard $15.90. I almost fell over, that's huge money for some stink fuckin popcorn and coke from concentrate!! We compromised and got her a small which cost $11.90.

Am i justified in saying that's a complete ripoff?

I'm the same. Can pause it if you run out of snacks, rewind if someone talks over a bit of it, ... and watch it again.

The girl and i buy the ticket books. $50 for 5 tickets which drops its from $17.50 to $10. She likes the movies so this way I'm not bleeding money. Always bring a drink and chips which costs all of $4 from the supermarket. Saw some poor guy there the other day with his wife, wife's friend and 4 children. After they were all fed and paid for it cost the poor bugger $142.50!!!! Hope she gives him back his balls from her handbag after.

Total waste of money, I don't know how they survive!

Save up, spend it on a decent home theatre system and big TV and enjoy movies in your own home.

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Got that done a while ago, and if I had it my way I'd only go to the movies once a year on cheap Tuesday. Bad news for me, I don't always get my way! All about sneaking my own snacks in too.
