That is seriously scary and hilarious at the same time.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

Sure is. And the quote. "I just shot myself in the leg". What a moron.

Armed and dangerous; mainly to themselves!

But you have to wonder the thinking is when they fire a pistol grip shotgun with the grip right in front of the face. Recoil must be a myth with pistol grips. Funny to watch the aftermath though

Interesting I believe the police in NZ have a high count of officers shooting themselves with Glocks, usually in the leg. Never much said about it, anybody know! Evidently figures are released to mountain safety people?

Plenty of Kiwi num nuts out their with firearms licences....... some even have had lots of experience and training.

I know of two pistol shooters who have shot themselves with their own pistols while drawing from a holster.

One got it in the foot one got it in the leg.

Neither were on an approved range or under the control of a range officer at the time, both had some very hard questions to answer in the aftermath.

Also know one guy who shot his own leg with his holstered 44mag revolver while climbing a wire fence out the back of his farm ................ apparently someone swapped out the revolver for a rifle before the helicopter arrived.

Have seen several people nearly shoot their own foot during competitions though.

These guys were bloody lucky with the worst thing happening to them being and instant DQ.

    Cheers
    Pete
