Kahurangi is the only ones I know of.

This dune in particular is apparently world famous? As it is engulfing native forest as it advances inland.

Have you done a lot of riding? Because I've seen a lot of inexperienced riders get seriously smashed up on sand dunes thinking they are crusty demons.

Tarawera 100 favourite/hardest race in NZ in my opinion

I did a rerewhakaaitu and a Tarawera 100 one year that was so wet i could have used a paddle tyre

One wet day ate all the teeth off the back aluminium sprocket on my KX 500

    Brand new sprocket

    So many laughs though

Mate ivan motley could ride a motorbike sitting on the seat backwards, mad bastard

Walked with a limp as his xr200 fell on him and the hot exhaust ate into his calf muscle/tendon

Saw him do a perfect front flip and land back on his wheels, we were at taupo and he was doubling his girlfriend, somehow her pack on the handlebars swung around into the front wheel, the bike did a perfect front flip and landed back on its wheels perfectly and wobbled off to crash into a fence at the taupo motor camp, he and his gf were in a seriously untidy heap on the ground

    I couldn't stop laughing

There are a lot of sand dunes to ride on the west coast of Northland up here, Bayleys Beach, Glinks Gully, Ahipara etc Big buggers too, They've never really interested me, I love motocross racing doing big jumps but prefer hardpack. However I once spent two days in the dunes with a paddle tire, that was a whole other ball game, loved it.

Pity my wife won't let me get a bike for a while, too many broken bones, I loose all common sense on a MX bike with other riders ahead of me, I'm that idiot that treats a fundraising trail ride as a full on race.

Kariatahi Beach if it is a horse you are riding. Lots of logs to jump and good hard flats to gallop if you get sick of the dunes. I have ridden an ex steeple chaser to a standstill down there. We were both seriously knackered that day.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

Yep I agree with you on this one
used to do a fair bit of competitive racing back in the day, but i now blame the size off the things swinging between my legs, the mind's there but broken bones and time of work don't excite my like it used to.
