Big ups to Bushnell - Credit where it is due.

So this story starts at the Toby shoot in October when on the Saturday morning as I was setting up to start shooting and on getting my range finders out I clumsily almost broke the battery compartment completely off the Bushnell 1600's that I have had for the last five years or so. Long story short I approached the NZ importer under warranty but was told to naff off as I had purchased them from Optics Planet. So contact was made with OP and then subsequently Bushnell in the states. We don't make them any more they said but jump on our website and we will replace them if you tell us what you want. Fast forward to today when I recieved a brand new set of Bushnell One Mile range finders. Big ups to Bushnell. Now to find a decent glue to glue the battery compartment back on (super glue didn't hold) and I will have a pair to pass on to a young newbie hunter.

Oooh, bugger. Looks like a big ask. Got plenty of industrial adhesives available once you’re out of ideas.

You are welcome to give it a go at sticking them back together. They still work when you hold them together.

If they had been made fifty years ago I would have said Bakelite (you are probably too young so don't scatch your head) because that is what it looks like.
