Bloody Intruder in the Man Cave

I saw at the weekend that a bloody rat has been having a good gnaw on anything plastic in my cave. I laid some poisoned bait Saturday and it has taken it so hopefully the little bugger is feeling crook as right now. Someone please remind me what is the point of having cats?
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

I have been away to stoke the fire, feed the dogs, make a coffee, bring in more wood, ....a good half hour or more and in that time, I cannot think of anything, absolutely anything that would give anyone any possible reason to keep a cat...in all honesty, I just dont think there is any reason...

I guess if I thought owning a cat would really piss someone off then I would have one.

I had a farkin big rat in my shed last winter, The prick had chewed his way into about 6 of the 15 odd big pumpkins i had stored in there on a mesanien and eaten all the seeds out of em and crapped all over them. The Gamo fixed him
