Bullying at school ... how to deal with it ... ??

I'm in new territory here .. I'm currently dealing with an incident of bullying at school.

does anyone out there have experience of dealing with schools and or the cops when it comes to bullying ?

I would love to hear your advice and the benefit of your experience - do's , don't's and everything in between.

If you dont want to respond via the forum feel free to respond to me via a PM .

    Tim

    Are you the bully?

Look forward to the replies as this will be new ground for me also in 4-5 years when our girl goes to school.
At daycare the older ones look after the young ones which is really neat to watch

My young fella was getting teased and put up with it for a while until it got pretty horrible.
Little did the other fellas know my boy is quite handy and dished out a major pounding that got him stood down and me in the pricipals office.
When the full story came out the other boys got in a heap of trouble and my young fella reprimanded by the principal and a pat on the back from me.
I must say i would not put up with it if any of my boys were doing the bullying and would be feeling the pain from me.

unfortunately that has not been the response from the parents of the Bully. I would like to think My response would be as yours. Bullying is intolerable - regardless of which end of the deal you're sitting on

That was tried with no acceptance of culpability on behalf of either the parents or the bully. In fact its met with increased activity.

Go talk to the principal, in will all depend on if he's a good principal or a soft cock, my son had 5 guys knock him about at intermediate, I saw the principal, they were called into his office along with my son. The whole thing ended their with all the bullies in tears and the principal ran every parent and told them it had to stop! It did but he was a special man!

It might have to come to that. That would be my first reaction. Deal out a bit of natural justice.

It hasnt gone as far as the school yet - the approach that has been tried has been direct, without involving the school.

I'm thinking the best advice might be to approach the school and stop pissing around.
