My son played soccer years ago. A team he played a couple of times in a few weeks because of games put off by weather and also in the GF were like that.
Gamesmanship, milking penalties even the coach was a fucktard. We beat them in the final and the best he could come up with was they might have won if he had all of his best players. Wont go into the story about my lad and his cast but he started to show his colours early on.

Yep. If lots of people watch that crap it's no surprise that NZ has a rooted parliament.

A 79-year-old man is having a drink in a bar, when a gorgeous girl enters
and sits down a few seats away. The girl is so attractive that he just
can't take his eyes off her. After a short while, the girl notices him
    staring, and approaches him.

Before the man has time to apologize, the girl looks him deep in the eyes
and says to him in a sultry tone: "I'll do anything you'd like. Anything
you can imagine in your wildest dreams, it doesn't matter how extreme or
unusual it is, I'm game. I want $100, and there's another condition."

Completely stunned by the sudden turn of events, the man asks her what her
    condition is.

"You have to tell me what you want me to do in just three
    words."

The man takes a moment to consider the offer from the beautiful woman. He
whips out his wallet and puts $100 dollars in her hand, looks her square
in the eyes, and says slowly and clearly: "Paint my house."

(Our needs change as we get older, and we tend to look for bargains)...

@csmiffy ...I did not say they could act, or even that they could act well. In fact I would never. But I said "even a newcomer to shortland street can act "better" or more believable that those pretenders." This means that no matter how bad the acting is on shortland street, the acting by those pretentious overpaid pricks on the pitch is worse.

There are only three types of people in this world. Those that can count, and those that can't!
