    The CBR1100XX shall roar again

Been in storage for 2 years bit tomorrow that changes. Needs a new battery and that's about it I think. Anyone else have a beast in the shed?

    Check the tyres bloody carefully
Last thing you want is a blowout at 100 + ( on a closed private road, of course )

You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !

Yamaha XV1000MK Virago 1985, owned it since '91.

Been a reliable ride, I've looked after maintenance and it has barely missed a beat. I got it with 5000km on the clock, 108,000 now.......Wife wont let me sell it as it's in the wedding photo's from 1994. (Not that I could ever part with it)

After a break of about 5 years from riding I bought a cheap 98 Honda VFR800 for 3K. I don't get to ride it much, so it sits under the house mostly.

For some reason I thought it would be slow, I must've forgot how blindingly fast bikes are, plus that V4 roar! awesome.

Hmm like to get my girl out of storage but, she's still in Perth. Debating whether to sell her or bring her over

If it was an exotic or really expensive bike I'd say it could be worth it, but the CBR1000f is reasonably easy to get here and it would probably cost more to bring it over than to buy another one. It would all depend on what you see as value for money and what the bike is worth to you personally rather than financially. Same could be said for my bike, but I would still end up shipping it due to its cash value not matching what it is worth to me (us). Cash value is probably only a few $k but to me it is irreplaceable.

Problem with Italians is they're mainly midgets and make bikes to suit midgets. 6'1" on most bikes is a bit of an ask if you want to go fast and not have to visit a chiropractor after ever ride.
I would like to get a little Vespa/Aprilla/Piaggio scooter as a project though. I have fond memories of the young people blasting around France on these.
