I'd say that's from your 8mm mauser that was keyholing and spraying them everywhere that time (about 6 months to a year ago?).

I heard of a big Jesus on the cross that they started carving out of a native tree in the Solomon Islands that had bullet holes in the tree!
They were going to chuck it and start again, till someone pointed out that the holes lined up with the Jesus wounds. Pretty neat if true.

Used to get my firewood from a guy in Hampshire where the Americans used to train before Normandy. Used to get the odd round in that lot as well.

When I had my sawmill I ceased to be surprised at cutting through bullets. They did no harm to the blades but did stuff the value of some otherwise good grade timber.

Ok chaps, here is the most likely scenario......

LAst sunday funday. and we shot up a shit load of ammo, quite a bit of it would have gone into my firewood pile.
I was wondering how it wound up inside the log that way around, as it would have had to tumble into it as @Tommy suggested (I do own a tumbler k98)

Anyway, the wood was already cut to length, and this round is most likely from my "MOTHER F#$KING AK47"

I'm still claiming it as a historically significant archaeological find. One which represents a past time of inclusion and harmony between people and city dwellers.
