Damz Wanganui Fallow Hunts On Facebook

Damz is offering his famous fallow hunts on Facebook. Anyone considering such a hunt should be very carefull - he owes me a refund for two deer and has had bad dealings with others on here too.
Be cautious or you may get burned too.
I am blocked from his FB sale page now so he obviously doesnt like the truth being told.
    Be warned

    Why does he owe refunds?
Failed hunts or took booking fees and didn't hunt?

Oh that's a bummer. I've been out to his place a couple of times few years ago and goats was the main thing on the property, with the odd fallow turning up every now and again.
I did notice he hasn't been on the other site for quite a while and wondered where he went.
He was a great guy to deal with but then no money was changing hands then.
I believe he has had a difficult time of it, but that is no excuse to not refund money if the service and/or goods were not provided.

    Thats a bugger.
Does he only offer fair chase animals or does he have behind wire hunts as well?

I am not out to character assassinate the guy - just to advise caution so others dont get caught as well.
I can stand being out of pocket $300 but some others probably cant.
Plus I trusted him at his word

Last time he sold the hunts on the forum a few years back now, i brought one and i think i was first to go out of the 5 or 6 he sold on here.

It was $500 and included 3 deer. He grossly missrepresented the place, the house/hut was unfinished and a total piece of shit, we had to clean it up bigtime before we could even take our stuff in, there were unfinished meals left in pots on the table with mould grown all over them, but we made do, it was what it was.

The property was supposedly over run with deer. There were really only two little gullys that had any kind of open clearing areas in them, the rest was thick as fuck scrub, unhuntable.

We were there for a couple of nights and put the effort in on the hunting, we saw a total of 4 fallow, one was a split second glimpse as we spooked it on the quad in the dark, the other 3 we managed to shoot, two were just tiny yearlings/fawns really. We knocked over a goat each too.

We ended up making the best of a bad situation and had a pretty good time really considering, could shoot gongs from the front deck of the hut out to about 650 yards, which was cool, we spotlighted a few possums at nights.

I felt pretty bloody sorry for the groups who were going in there in the following weeks after us. There were fuck all deer there, maybe there had been in the past but there certainly wasnt when we were there. I got the feeling that after Damian had moved over to Aussie, his mate that was looking after the place and met us at the gate on the road and showed us up to the place, had been thrashing the hell out of the place, or maybe had been taking hunters up there himself and had shot the place out. His mate removed his rifle from the hut when we got up there.

Theres a bit of a tragic story about Damz's dad, but this isnt the place to talk about that.

Far better marketing skills than delivery skills for sure.
I was on the end of rhe queue of visitors but there was supposedly heaps of deer and millions of goats. Saw a glimpse of two deer on dusk , runnibg at a hundred mile an hour Half a km away. Managed to bag a spiker whilst possum shooting - made up for the lack of possums.
Reported to Damz on our success and we would be back for the other two deer prepaid and basically got told " you had your chance , tough tits ".
No offer of refund or revisit , then just disappeared out of contact.
You want to risk it , go eight ahead but you have been warned
