    Gauge popular opinion - what a poll (of any kind) is for.

    Is it?

    Is this not a hunting and shooting forum? Should we not in a democratic society, be able to question the values, competencies, or intent of the organisation appointed to administer the regulations which dictate how we can lawfully use firearms?

    It's really just a poll - an opportunity for people to make their mark without fear of reprisal and everyone can gauge public opinion - not to create an invitation to discussion.

    @Ryan

    As in every demographic group of people in our society you will have a natural distribution of individuals characteristics including Friends Acquaintances Family Work Colleagues, Police, Forum Members etc

    At one end of the spectrum will be those individuals within this demographic whom you could always trust implicitly

    At the other end of the same spectrum you will have those individuals whom you could never ever trust

    And then there will be some you could trust in one situation but not in another.

    Why?

    Because we are all different people.

    In general however I do trust the Police and the Police Organisation, although as we have seen in the courts there are some untrustworthy individuals amongst them.

    Cheers

    An oversimplification and verging on politics

    Ryan my estimation of your IQ has just gone down a wee bit, this sort of divisive and loaded stuff is best left in Safferland
