    Doco series: Kiwis at War

Just wondering if anyone else has been following this series? It's screened every Tuesday @ 2000 on Maori TV (can't do that macron over the as on laptop and would involve too many finger presses at once).

It's (C) 2005 so I imagine that it's screened on some other channel before but the hijinks and near misses that all of the personnel featured experienced make for compelling viewing. It is a shame that a lot of them are recently deceased.

    Most certainly.

Nancy Wake's exploits in particularly I found most interesting - particularly enjoyed the narrator's account of her introduction to speak at a charity event (I think) and being introduced onto stage with much fanfare and once the hubbub had died down, she looked around the audience carefully and said "My name is Nancy Wake. During World War Two I killed a lot of Germans. I'm just sorry I didn't get to kill more of them, good night" and departed stage to rapturous applause.
