    Firearms Licence Renewals

Just had a warning from Antique Arms... about the delay in the turn around of this process. If your licence is due for renewal be pro active as if you wait for the renewal notice from Mr Plod you may find yourself without a licence within the required time frame. No licence means, while you wait, no rifles in your care, no shooting by yourself etc. Mines due in Feb next year, I will put thru for renewal before the end of the year.

Might be worse in cities? Just a warning not to take any chances, of course some of these guys have some nice collections as well, would be a bad headache for some.

@Maca49 I tried to be proactive, Went to see them and Mr Plod said no no it ll be in the mail JUST WAIT ...

I only went there as my mate who expires exactly same day had his letter 3 weeks earlier. First I knew was when he said wanna be my referee again ..

2 week s later it came. 5 Weeks later than him ?? Same expiry date like thanks for the notice ...
So sorted it all next day. Balls in their court firmly now as I aint chasing them and good luck if they try to harass me over it.

I ve done my bit ... I think it ll all work out OK !!

Was vetted about 3 weeks ago so too soon to say, however the inquisition is getting worse, they didn't even use lubrication this time.

My brother was going on holiday and they were having trouble contacting him, told me had to have the whole process done within 2 weeks of my application! Don't see that in the small print.

For oblivious reasons the police would like as little gun ownership as possible , so hence the fuck around I'd say . Cheers for the heads up on delay .

Reading all this makes me think I owe my arms Oficer some beer.
My licence expired yesterday and for it sorted out over the phone-he even rung me overseas to make sure I did not get stung with the late fee
