On the first day of lockdown

On the first day of lockdown......

I did 2 loads of washing, sink full of dishes and cleaned the BBQ.....

Let's hear it lads, hopefully your day had some more excitement in it than that.

I will be back tomorrow with the "2nd" day of lockdown....

    Cheers

Chased a stray ram from the paddock with the 4 wheeler. Hit a log and skinned my knuckle. Made two rod holders for the RIB and stuck a large rifle primer onto a flat nose .22 cal pellet with super glue( read about it on here). Was about to fire it out of the BSA Meteor pellet gun at the bottom garden shed when the wife appeared. Put slug gun away and sulked...I'll try again tomorrow.

Picked up 80 bales of essential food for the horses, posted some lessons for 4 classes and answered some questions. Walked the dog, cleaned the paddocks of horse shit. Watched craigc’s video.

Looked after the sprog (2years old) until mum came home from work , then disappeared rabbit hunting for a couple of hours on the family farm.
Was a good day to be honest.

I thought this was a song to start with , you know.... on the first day of Christmas...….

Fed the livestock, sprayed out part of the lawn for landscaping in a few days, and a few other weeds. Had a quick chat with the neighbour over our front paddock (about 10m gap), rebaited the rodent bait stations, threw some baits into the ceiling space (forgot to put manhole cover back!). Made toasted sandwiches for everyone for lunch, watched a movie (thanks to Sky for giving us the movie channels until end of June, for free). Had a shower. Cooked dinner.

Today is day two of a week of annual leave I booked ages ago. Left the Mrs with her "clean everything" idea and bowled a few gums for firewood. Master 4 years old is running quite a temp tonight but only other complaint with it is a sore guts so we aren't worried any more than normal.

Tried to wrangle my 3 and 4 year old loin fruits while my wife was out getting some medical imaging done, concurrently planning what drafting work I can give the grads for the next four weeks.

Contemplated mowing the lawns on my lunch break but decided to play computer games instead.

I did a little work. Planted broad beans. Went for a bike ride with my kids(ended dramatically as mentioned elsewhere). Cooked honey soy chicken on bbq. Gave said BBQ an over due clean.

One thing i didnt think to do pre-lockdown was get a new gas bottle for BBQ, the one we have is virtually empty, though we do have two 45kg versions for water heater and hob. Should be able to get a 9kg at service station anyway.
