Gold Rush Alaska to become Gold Rush NZ

Pretty good source just told me that he took the Cast and Crew from Gold Rush Alaska over to the Westcoast last week for a look around at a spot or 2

At least they would have a chance at beating a 100 ounces
Rimu used to average between 14-20 a week in the 90's. Heaps less over burden and you should be into pay dirt quicker than the old "gloryhole"
I used to get excited when the Gloryhole was mentioned on the discovery channel adds. I thought the missus got me a new channel

I would hate to think what the bigger mines around Hokitika are turning over.

I did some work a couple years ago.
Taking core samples at sea off the mouths of the rivers on West Coast.
Cook river mud samples were very shiny.

Was for the Ministry of Economic Development - dont think they went any further as hippys had a cry

I could name at least 5 private claims that would get over 100 a week 2 could do that in a weekend if going is good. I always laugh at that shit amounts over there.

Gear and technique has improved over the years Abe. I bet you could go over a couple claims mined in the 90's and still make a good living.
I have always been keen to have my own patch of dirt to turn over.

Thats ture to most need 10-14 a week to pay the bills.

Some bits are been re done already, even the new ways still loose a fair bit but they all have the attude, of putting it through an doing alright the cost for the little bit extra is not worth it for them to bother, just keep butting it through.

I should find the figure of gold that came out of the shartf at Ross, where the hole is to the east of the of the town, i thing it was 20' square? an 90' deep??
ill as the boss the amound of ounces that come out of there??

Oceania gold found 77 648 ounces in 2011 an macraes was 174 851ounces that a whole lot of gold
