They Shall Not Grow Old, Bohemian Rhapsody, A Star Is Born.
Movie theatre - Screening Room, Kuripuni (free plug for a former client of my wife's Pilates Equipment Studio).
Not much of a 'sniffler' for heart string pullers, but Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper (A Star Is Born), got my hanky out.
Highly recommended for all three, as I'm a 'bombs, blood, dead perps and gunfire with laughter' (i.e. - mindless violence), kind of a movie watcher.

    Das Boot.

Seen it several times but it never ceases to amaze me the bravery of men who'd go to war in a submerged steel tube.

I like lots, action etc and especially the new age marvel/DC action heroes flicks (wonderwoman is a favourite and the under world movies with Kate Beckinsale-in leather lol) but a couple of worthy mentions go to
Rocknrolla by Guy Ritchie good british gangster with a bit of humour-I suppose lock stock and two smoking barrels fits in here as well.
The last boy scout-Bruce Willis-not his best but underrated.
Bad blood-the one about the Stan Graham shootings in ww2
Sleeping dogs with Sam Neil-haven't watched that on in years. Got a copy to watch (so to speak) but know the missus wont be into it so have to do it on my own
X2 on Bohemian Rhapsody-the movie is pretty good but the dude playing Freddie was outstanding-it all worked well
Rogue one-good stand alone flick that didn't get turned into an American comedy
there are a bunch of others but I'm sure people here will probably post them as well

Red Dawn is one of my favourites - the original, not the remake!
Others I really rate and have watched several times:
    The Shawshank Redemption
    The Usual Suspects
    The Green Mile
Ryan, Sideshow, A330driver and 2 others like this.

    Layercake
Lock, stock and two smokin' barrels (watched it so many times but it just keeps getting better)
Ready Player One (a little bit of a predictable ending though)
Apocalypse Now (Watched it again recently and found out its evidently now a cult movie. Who knew.)
Deadpool 2 (bloody great sense of humour)

Mr Jolly Lives Next Door, absolute ripper laugh.
I'm also with planenutz on the Layercake, and Lock, Stock & Two Smokin Barrels, two very cleverly put together British movies, almost cryptic story line.

    Dunkirk was good
Enjoyed the last Peter Jackson movie about WW1 too, bit grim, but bloody good.
He nui to ngaromanga, he iti to putanga.

You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !
