    Grandchildren.

    I have a girl

She is coming 18 mths old.

    She is a grand daugther.
    She is abosultely bloody wonderful

She came with me to the park,
She thought the blackbirds would wait for her.
She followed them for a football field long.
She didn't uderstand when they finally took to the trees.
She looked at me and I sat down, and, in a minute
She had forgotten, and we walked home.

Spending time with our grandies in Perth for next couple of weeks @jakewire.
Love the time we're with them, but 5-30 to 6 am wake up 'jumps' on the air bed, is taking some getting used to.
    Girl - 6 yrs, twin boys - 4 yrs, girl - 2 years.
    Love 'em all!

    @jakewire
Somewhere on FaceBook there's a post saying 'You didn't know you had an empty place in your heart until your grandchildren arrived' - so true!

Kids are great but I'm far too young to be a father let alone a grandfather. Good being an uncle though since I never had younger brothers or sisters. Enjoyed windin' 'em up and handen' 'em back.

Kids are awesome, so I can't imagine how amazing grandkids are-and being able to hand them back must be a fantastic bonus

My big brother was snivelling to our father about his children...father calmly commented 'grandchildren are parents revenge"

Yep I left Perth when he (Grandchild) was 18 months old, he is now turning 5 years old, man how time goes so quick. I will be meeting up with him on the sunshine coast in May 2017.
He is so shy, hides behind mum when trying to skype with him, but at least he knows what poppy looks like.
His Mum is forever telling me how he runs her ragged, I just tell her "If you think he's a handful wait until he is in the teens, you were so hard to handle at that age, now your turns coming"
