    Gun safe - Full (6 weapons) stolen Carterton

    Hi guys
    A heads up on a gun safe with 6 firearms, which was stolen from Frederick Street, Carterton around the end of October.
    Let everyone who has an 'offer' of a 'cheap/special deal' rifle - most likely a targeted theft, for Resale to the 'dark side' - know that it could be these weapons.
    No details of serial numbers, calibre, accessories available yet (that I know of).
    PS - not my place thank goodness. All strange vehicles have their number plates/model/colour taken and reported to the home owners ASAP, in our street.

    Here's the original post from the Neighbourhood Support person:

    Frederick Street (Overnight – 21st October), entry onto a fenced property, where a window has been smashed to access the secure house, where a messy search was conducted, then a free-standing garage was also broken into, with several chainsaws and a complete gun-safe taken, which contained six guns;

    the guy was away for the weekend on holiday. They cut the safe out. All the husbands saws. He's in forestry. All the keys and spare keys for the cars. Bikes etc. Even the hunting and diving gear. all financial documents and passports etc!! Cleaned them out of everything they had even ornaments.

    Cleaning them out of everything - does not sound like "a targeted theft" of the guns. It must leave the owner doubly peeved that they used his own tools to get the safe.
