3 parties there at the time, 8 people total. They should be getting a few letters! We counted 12 low flying choppers in one day, at more like 50ft than 500ft. Got some good photo evidence too.

I bet you have, knowing your photo skills you can probably tell if the pilot had a shave that morning

Absolutely unless it has a smooth bore.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

And then there's shotguns with rifled barrels. And the odd firearm with the first section rifled and the remainder smooth.
    And what's a kerosene budgie?

What isn’t shown, is the bullet hole in the bottom on the seat mount, or the crushed out cigarette on the floor next to the fuel bladder in the back….. and it wasn’t me on the stretcher…

As a side/plug, iSOS were our medical providers there, (and I got them in on another project) and they were really tops, expensive, but really good. The really good Docs and Para’s were all ex military (Oz, French, Brits)

Spent last evening with Alan Beck from Beck Helicopters in Eltham. 69 years old , been flying choppers doing agricultural work since he was 23. Hell of an interesting guy. Now he is servicing HU-1 choppers from around the world as well as training international pilots , running his ag business , and fighting fires all over the globe.
