For once in my life, I'm glad of the career choice I made. Driving a tracter is much more enjoyible than driving a bloody handpeice. Even though I'm not doing much right now, and will have the lights burning into the nights soon, I still know where I woud rather be

What the hell is going on there Brads? Andy looks as happy as a pig in shit but mate those jerseys are a bloody worry.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Very similar story. Learnt at 14 (1978) Started full time in 83 and shore around NZ and West Aussie until about 2000. Absolutely loved it. Did a lot of competitions. Got a few ribbons in the intermediate and senior (never got past the semis at Masterton though. Did at Tekuiti). Bought a farm about the same time I moved into the open. Paying debt became more important than shows. Still shear my own now. But down to three hundred sheep (owned, not a day, that would kill me now). And my girls like shearing, so I try to arrange it that my sheep are woolly when they are home. They are both overseas at the moment so I'm doing them on my own. My fifteen year old boy is way to smart to go near a woolshed.
