Triumphs seemed to be particularly popular in Nelson where they had an assembly plant.

Did you cut the glands out?

Can confirm that the kaimai stags aren't roaring at all. Didn't give them a roar but quiet as.

There aren't any deer in the Kaimai ranges. None, zip, nada. Ha ha ha ha

Dropped off gadgette#2 to Ara/polytech on the way to a clients this morning. Just after dropping off the phone goes, "Are you busy? ..." Change of plan, sister-in-law is driving their van to the wet coast and got stopped for not having chains. "Could you take the chains to her and escort her through to Otira? While your there you could fit new wiper blades coz the ones on it are stuffed."

    A bit nippy out there.

I was looking at a new set of 4x4 chains at cash converters a couple of days ago for $30, turns out they were the perfect size. Had to laugh when he told me the new wipers were special Mercedes ones and cost $160. A quick look tells me they just use standard blade inserts.

Are any of you brave enough to ride a motorcycle in the south island during winter? I have seen bike snow chains on-line but never heard of anyone using them.

There are times it feels sketchy in the wet with all the tar bleed and snakes and painted lines let alone a black ice.

Reading the news and I see there's around 80 odd thousand still without power up north.
@veitnamcam @mikee and the rest of you fullas by the ditch, you'd better put that circuit breaker back into the cable.
Anymore than 30hrs without power and they'll be rioting in the streets. The temp has plummeted to below 15* C. They'll put on a bigger display than the Aussie cricketers, crying in their cold lattes.
