    Homekill - Pork price pr/kg?

Looking at buying a porker of the neighbour later this week, any idea on price per/kg? Anyone bought one recently?

Its around 60kg live weight (guess).

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers.

Every year I usually do two pigs. I buy them for about $70 as a piglet and run them in the paddock for 3 to 4 months.
At the end of it the hook weight is about 70 to 80kg. (gutted with no head) there is only about 5% loss in weight from hook to packed weight
All up + food and butcher costs they owe me about $330 each which includes both front legs and the flaps as bacon.
So that is just over $4 PER KG. in the freezer

This is not exactly what you were asking but I hope it helps.
