Shit Smiddy thats pretty full on. I'm a regular Joe (well sort of) with the standard 40hr week. On call 1 week in 4 for 24hr service. Can mean 100+ hour weeks but pretty seldom these days. Averages out about 45-50hrs/week through the year.

I'm on a 40hr 5 day working week, reaility is I do 50hrs most weeks to keep up with my workload.

In my younger days I was at contracting up in the waikato, we would do up to 140hr weeks if it didn't rain. 120 would be a normal week and 100 a slow week but that's what you did and the money was good.
If its guns, tits or tyres it's going to cost you lots of money

mine is hard to put a definite figure on, meant to be 40, usually at work around 50-60 hours and then have the calls/emails/reports that follow you around and have to be dealt with in the evenings from home

I'm a software engineer. I'm supposed to do 40 hours a week but it's normally 50~ but when the shit hits the fan I end up doing 80+
I don't know how you 120 hour guys can do it. A couple of 80s back to back and I'm buggered.

There was a time when guys of my age were well retired. I'm 63.
On average I probably work 35 hrs a week. Now and again it jumps to 70 hours, and some weeks I don't do much at all. One contract I have ensures that I always do 12 hrs a week though.
I build as much flexibility into my work life as I can.
I fit in a lot; plenty of hunting, travel, still undertake study and research as well as work, be a good grandfather and partner...and this will be how it will be I guess until I become too old or tip over.

40 to 60hrs a week. in a previous life I worked min of 12 but normally more like 16 a day on call all day and night every day for up to 7months at a time, that long at sea can make it a little odd when you get back to civilization

I must be doing something wrong.....
My two workers do 4 nine hour days, 36 hours a week & a 3 day weekend.....
I do much the same, but usually an hour or two longer per day, but always try to have Fridays off to go hunting etc

We would work longer hours but due to the current climate I don't really have enough work for my staff to do a consistent 40+ hour week.
