I wish I never sold that.....

I thought it might be interesting to hear your stories on those things you wish you never sold. So often you hear people say they regret selling something after the fact!

I regret ever selling my Winchester 1894, that was an awesome old rifle, given to me by my first boss as a christmas bonus, shot heaps of stuff with it from bunnies to deer, to a really pissed off wild bull, she was rough around the edges but was a rifle that I definately would have had tidied up and put away in the safe if I still had it, was too young and dumb to appreciate it and I think I actually sold it to fund a weekend away with my buddies, cant remember that weekend but still remember every hunting trip with my old gun!

Also regret ever selling my mark11 escort, one of my first ever cars, wouldnt mind having it sitting in the garage to tinker with on a rainy day!

With cars, it would be my 75 LH Torana.
With rifles, pretty much all of them. I sell them and then look to buy a similar rifle months later.

Funny with the death of my mother in law and all the belongings we have had to make decisions on I'm trying to get it across to my family that my firearms are not attachments to me, I enjoy and use them, but if something happens to me cash em up. Now the problem I have to resolve with myself is how to get rid of my fathers Remington Targetmaster .22 and my Great Grandfathers single barrel Hollis 12 gauge? These have a combined value of $150.00 so probably no worth selling? Well that's my excuse

Mine was my LC Torana, that I converted to 308 V8, it was my daily drive car, and on the weekends to the street drags. All time best was 11.95 on street tyres over the 1/4 mile 161km per hour.
And like usual I didn't take many photos, just a couple of trophie to remember it by.

Yep 173 was how I got mine, swapped my dying V8 Brougham for her. Reasonable body, but compared to the V8......well.
I got given a wrecked LJ and a 308 in pieces, so I used the LJ to work out where things should go and I drove that LJ up the road 2 weeks later, still with the old Banjo diff and no windows in it, as you do
Couple of months of rebuilding and beefing up the front end of LJ, tickled and warmed up the 308 and Trimatic built a 2.75:1 open wheeler 9".
Took the LC to bits and gave it all the good bits, and the rest was just pure fun. Re-worked the 308 again, 3.11:1 LSD 9" this time, tricked up the Tri and added a Hi-stall and we ready for some serious business
