    Job sounds ok

But Pay rates rather small to be living in the big smoke.

    Cheers

I find it hard to believe that is the sort of money that people living in Auckland are expected to live on?

I'd take that job just to put a stop to retards getting guns, I would take pride in being the most bastard Arms Officer you ever met!

There were once two Aussie cops called Fair and Just, My aim would be to make them look like beginners.

    Anybody remember Fair and Just?

It sounds more than fair for the required skill set I thought.

I am going to convince my 18 year old daughter to apply. That would be a bloody useful contact.

The truth is yes is your answer. You guys on the farm can get that + free accommodation. How can they employ someone on this rate? I could post the 3 to a room news article again but I won't.

Unfortunately it seems to reflect how seriously the police take this job. Not good.

It is not a highly skilled position tho so why should it be a highly paid one just because it is in Auckland, presumably toilet cleaners, shelve fillers and in home care workers are not all on 200k plus just because they live in Auckland?

In Perth at the moment - visiting family/friends.
Last visit to Auckland - couldn't wait to get home - same for any city!
Job sounds interesting as a time filler, but got too many hobbies to be bothered, plus I love my current lifestyle too much.
Wouldn't give up the pension, lifestyle and mates for Auckland - on 1/3rd what I was earning when I retired.

Highly Skilled? No but you want a decent arms officer don't you, someone with at least some smarts and real people skills. Should probably be at least in the $80K range. Remember next time we have someone try order a firearm with false documents we want someone who can smell out the rat. Not an automaton.
