    Key fob remotes LOST

So it looks like I have losted my key fob car remote.
Luckily I have a spare key that starts and unlocks the vehicle. I know these fobs are expensive to replace, Cheapest option I found was TM $200
So I did a look on Aliexpress and sure enough I can get one landed for $25.

Its for a Nissan and from further reading I can program it myself following the directions
Sit in car, lock doors, place left foot on right knee, blink three times, cough and then press remote routine I was wondering if anyone else has managed to do this
( buy from china and reprogarm it yourself )

Also lost a Nissan one, took the other to the key man at the Base in Hamilton, he removed the back off the other, took a photo, emailed it, charged me $160, next day Courier arrived with a new one. Couldn't believe it when it worked. Don't ask me how they do it, ask them.

you will get a bob from ali but it wont have the rfid coil in it so it wont disable the vehicles security system without being programmed in

@gonetropo will I be able to program it via the " sit in car, lock doors insert key " method or a trip to a dealer / locksmith?

its a dealer thing, some locksmiths may be able to program the lock/unlock function off an existing transmitter but the RFID is dealer programmed

i think they would "persuade you " that only theirs will work. my mitsi key fell in 1/2. i got a blank from ali and swapped the guts over inc both the transmitter and rfid chip. made for a $30 repair not a $200 one but of course i already had compatible parts not just an empty shell

    No claims bonus revoked

Its not just a shell @gonetropo its a 433 hz inards as well. At least its worth a try I reckon .... if I have to go down the dealership route then I will get them to delete the old one as well.
Still hopefull it will turn up

innards for transmitting yet, would be surprised if it had the rfid unit though. i know as we used to have an x-fail at one stage too.
nevr ever had so many electrical issues with a japanese vehicle. and whatever you do dont get a new model ones, those nissan cvt's are a disaster

The Mr minute chain did me a new key, had the transponder in it but no remote locking button, so stick key in door (old school) and can start car. $160.... Then of course I found the other key
