Regardless of anyone's stance on the use of 1080 this is just plain wrong!

    Agreed.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

    Criminal behaviour
He nui to ngaromanga, he iti to putanga.

You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !

Clearly wrong. Even worse that there is sweet f all that can be done to stop it happening.
I have argued extensively with doc in alex about it, they just stick their head in the sand and 'what's the alternative?'
They say ' we're just doing our job'. Any of us would be prosecuted to the extreme if we just 'did our job' with no consideration for the ill effects caused to others and the environment.
And what about the chopper pilots? Money grubbers in my view that don't give a fat rats arse!

I wonder how this will go down if anyone gets sick from it?
My gut feeling is this shit will come to a head one day and that day is building.
Great way to fuck up one of NZ's best incomes- the tourists and certainly not the clean green image you want out there.

The time to be honest and take your stance is coming by the looks of it.

Yesterday they were prefeeding holdsworth and the silly bitch that told me what was happening had been brainwashed by doc's propaganda.Couple of years ago when they 1080'd the same place there were two trucks several doc cars and two police cars that went by at 4 am to Holdsworth.Be the same in a weeks time.

So did HeliOtago use one or more of their rescue helicopters to spread 1080?
If they did hope it was cleaned throughly before picking up sick/injured people.
Hunting is relaxing just like Yoga except I get to kill something.
If it Flies it dies and if it hops it drops.

An alternative view is that this is just plain rubbish. No evidence. Pure speculation. My understanding is that The WRC consent allowed application across water ways.

To say that a water system is "poisoned" is mischievous. The fact that 1080 pellets are dropped accidentally or purposely into a water system does not mean that people or the ecosystem are or could be in danger. It is a flawed assumption.

Any credence taken from the article should be tempered by who wrote it, who it was written for and the plain lack of evidence.

I'm not pro-1080 and the sooner an alternative is found the better. But I am anti radical subjectivity.

There are still a lot of ignorant but smart people that believe in creationism and that the earth is flat. People still choose to avoid the evidence and concentrate on what agrees with their preconceived ideas, which is evident in that article. Very poorly written.
