looks good, and it's the true story of operation red wings. One of the dead Seals (Lt Michael Murphy) won the Medal of Honor for his actions in saving his colleagues.
I'm dissapointed that its been low budget made though, for example they could have done better with shooting locations. I don't think spruce and oak trees exist in Afghanistan, kinda giveaway it was made in US somewhere.

Afghanistan has silver oak and chire pine trees surprisingly. Poison oak. And rattle snakes!

I liked the drills especially their movement in contact.
Best weapons in the world as they held zero after major falls so that was a bit shit.

Must see it on that recommendation.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

One of my mates was at Bagram Airforce base when it went down.
He has the book if I want to read it. Cheers tho.
They never do books justice I reckon so I may not read it to save some disappointment.
The movie definitely had some embellished scenes, but over all I thought the drills and tactics were pretty good. They were brave men.
Goes to show how a single decision can influence so much.
ROE's and other stupid mandates really hamper the men on the ground not the assholes who enforce them.

Bravery in battle is a funny thing .
I have no experience of military protocol , but I know personally two guys that did stupidly brave things while serving in Afghanistan , but never were mentioned or had any acknowledgement .
How does it work in the forces as to how you get a medal or recognition of your actions ?

My mate led the entry into the Iranian embassy when it came under siege in 1980. Need to get him to write a book tbh. Would make a good film.
