Do you have a map card in the unit or just using the world base map that comes pre loaded?

You may not have the maps on the card actually selected . Go to setup menu/map and make sure the world base map is disabled, then make sure the map card is enabled.
Its been a while since I had a 62, so hope the above is correct.

can you access the menu? if so find the map folder you should have the worldwide base map and your topomap listed.....make sure they are enabled. if you have no topomap listed then your card could be faulty or the map file could be corrupt or there could be dust interfering with the contacts even. do you have a mate local you can swap out sd cards in his gps that will soon tell you if your card or mapfile is faulty. another thing is to check the profile is set to recreation seems stupid but apparently this can determine what is displayed. if you cant access the menu page...............fucknose.........a bullet?
