    more firearms stolen

Scumbags broke into a home in Rolleston on Sat night and stole firearms.
I'm following up via the owners fb page to see if we can get serial number info and post it on the forum.

Three homes robbed, tools, 4x4, and boating gear stolen all at the weekend.

Fortunately they left behind clear DC shoe prints, a R18 baseball cap and crashed one of the vehicles on the way home.

The firearms were locked up but the keys were on the homeowners keyring I hear.

While criminal scum usually aren't high on the IQ scale, after all that's why they're criminal scum, if the keyring was left in the house while the owner was out . . . even they could see the jackpot given to them.

I've confirmed. They did not use any keys. The owner says

The house was broken in to in dunsandel on 31/5 my benilli was stolen out of my locked gun cabnet along with ammo, serial number m780598p and my safe from in my house along with many personal items

They used his tools from his garage to jemmy everything open, and rip a small household safe off the wall.

For the record Dunsandel isn't (yet) part of Rolleston.

Ouch. Short of living in a concrete bunker it's pretty hard to stop those who really want something they don't own.
