    More UN on Small Arms

Not sure where to post this, found it looking for some thing else, see this type of thing ever where now & not sure what we can do about it ?

Should be a link to a UN write up or department of, has UN emblem in top corner ?

Shock horror that people are killed with firearms in a region that has been in a near constant state of violence for centuries.

sounds more focused on bad guns than actually looking at the cause.if firearms not available then something else will be used as a weapon . they need to look at why its happening and not just the firearm side as in most places they are less than 50% of what is used to kill. it all seems band aid politics and it seems the world is heading back to the middle ages of the rich the poor and the violent with a similar attitude of the lords are fine and the sheriff turns up well after the fact maybe and the poor try to keep afloat.

Just about blew my Coke across the room when I started reading that!!

And I didn’t bother reading past the part where the diatribe on firearms started, it was just another cliched article on poor female victims and bad guns....

It will probably be vomited up in some Herald ‘opinion’ article!

Rant over, peace and tranquillity will resume shortly.

Make it legal for all females to carry guns.

The reason for those type of articles is often to try to " demilitarise or de weaponize " a zone or a country before an invasion, or to actually justify another " peace keeping" enforcement activity in the area.

Look at the General news in the area for the last few months and that might help to understand why such articles come out of the dusty drawers...

They never seem to mention guns being an equaliser of the physical force difference between male and female do they.

Woke hype. If there were no guns it would be clubs knives or scissors- both ways. People with little percieved future lashing out. The real issues are not being addressed by the power brokers. In general, happy people don't seriously fight amongst themselves.

    Right on!
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
