    Mouse trap bait?

Seems we have a few mice inside (seems to be some gaps round the house after the quake but can't find where the buggers are getting in as everything has been blocked up) and the bloody cat isn't able to get them (it just need a bullet but I'm not allowed)

Have set plenty of traps with peanut butter but they seem to have learnt the lesson and haven't gotten any for a week or so. What other baits are people using? Would love to put poison down but suspect cat/dog would get it.

On the old sort with a metal tongue we use to melt cheese on to it. I use peanut butter on the plastic sort.
Perhaps you have got most of them?

Use Pindone in Bait station all year round for Rats and Mice
The "Generation" bait in like Tea bags is the best of all
Farmlands has it - top stuff just keep it away from Dogs
May is the time they invade to come in for the winter - cunning beggars

We alternate between peanut butter and melted cheese seems to work great in the old snap traps

K, will try the cheese, thought it was an old wives tale.... Peanut butter has been working great but just seems to have stopped even with a fresh jar. Will pick have a look at the stuff at mitre 10 next time.

Mix of grey snap ezy, old wooden base plates and some black plastic similar to the snap ezy.

Found the grey snap ezy to be the best of the snap style traps got 3 from same cupboard in one night without having to re bait

Could try baiting them with a bucket of water and wine bottle glued to the rim and some olive oil on the neck. Have some bait that has been suggested above and then see what happens.

Watch Shawn Woods Mousetrap Monday Channel on YouTube or his new website for the best traps.
The bucket dunk/walk the plank traps are the best.

Pineapple Lumps worked also as an alternative. Just to keep the diet varied.
