Movies, whats hot & whats not !

Took the kids to see TinTin the movie on Friday, was bloody good & very well made & a great rendition of the books ( which I haven't read since I was a kid )

On the other extreme they showed the trailer for The Hobbit, what a nerdy lookin barrel of monkey spunk not a gun in sight
Shoot it, root it & then BBQ it !!!

Tintin was pretty faithful to the comics but got fairly ridiculous in spots

"Drive" is a fantastic recent film

I still want to see Drive at the cinema before it goes but with a 6 week old baby it is hard to scam a few hours away by myself.

Saw drive a few months ago, thought the lack of dialogue a little strange but otherwise a pretty alright film.Great cars.

I read the trilogy a while ago, great story.Pity the author died before he could finish the 10 books he had planed. Id like to see it on the big screen but will probably end up getting the dvd.

Saw War Horse...being a Stephen Spielberg the props were faithful to the real thing although the story was highly impropable...I took a roll of kitchen towels instead of a box of tissues...it did bring a tear to the eye on frequent occasions, oh, alright then, a variatable waterfall in my instance...

Took the missus to see Decendants (brownie point mission). She liked but i thought it was pointless - no guns, hunting, kill shots or sex.
But the mission was a complete success and the new stock was ordered the next day

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

It was good gratuitous violence wrapped up in a hell of a lot of implausible fun
