Moving to the Top of the South.

    Greeting Mainlanders.
Having recently had a rush of blood to the head (mid life crisis - call it what you will) my wife and I have packed in our jobs and decided to move to the South Island.
We have sold our house and are in the process of getting ourselves sorted for the move.
What we now need is somewhere to live (that isn't the back of our trailer) in the Nelson/Blenheim region. Looking for a 2 bedroom place (preferably with garage) for 6 to 12 months.
We will be heading down that way about 19th April (yes, the middle of the Sika roar!!!!) for a couple of weeks to see what we can find but if anyone on here has any offers or info on rentals in that general area it would be much appreciated.

Same from me Shearer. I would say you could use here as a stopover but it may be a tad tight on space given your wish list.
I will keep my eyes and ears open.

Well Pengy that is true but there is always room for good buggers (providing they are not trying to smuggle Rushys favourite brew in!!

    Thanks @madjon_.
Shame. That would have been ideal while we got ourselves established.

You would have never thunk that massive house prices, whopping rates bills and sunshine type salaries would be in such demand with people falling over themselves to move here.

Although it would seem that Penguins have managed to get the lifestyle bit right but the rest of us not so much

Our latest staff member is gobsmacked by the rates bill and house prices and he moved from Auckland 12 months ago, (and he is building cause he thought it would be cheaper than buying)

Yeah. We already have a section just out of St Arnaud (bought 2 years ago) but need somewhere to live before we get on to building a house.
Big random adventure but we will see how we go. Did I mention we need work too.....
