    Murchison or Motueka

I'm looking at taking a job on a dairy farm in the Tutaki valley (20 mins east of Murchison), and the missus has also applied for a job with a law firm who have an office in Motueka. Both areas seem to be good for hunting but quite a few people up here (Palmy) have said that Murchison can be cold and wet and miserable, and that their preference would be Motueka. Thoughts?

Murch is way more isolated than Mot. Might be what you want? In both areas there is shit loads of hunting, and its all close. People in that area dont know how lucky they are...

I was born in Mot, hunted both areas. Mot is probably a better place to live, Murch a better place to hunt. But its only 70-80mins drive between them.

If it was me I'd live in Mot, go hunting after work around the local forestry, and head up to Murch for the weekends

The job in Murch will probly pay better than a similar one around Mot tho. Sunshine wages

Yep, go live in Mot. Warm, good beaches nearby, good pig hunting, wineries etc.
Drive to Murch isn't far if you want better fishing and hunting.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm pretty amped either way. The thought of living rural again is pretty appealing but Mot sounds good too. We're heading down next weekend for a visit but won't have time for a hunt unfortunately.
