5:15 - 5:30 for me depending on traffic.

Note: Nanna driving and unfamiliar with most of the road.

Not likely to have enough time now unfortunately. He got a bit carried away with mountain biking in Wanaka

Same. Sit at about 90km and you will barely see a truck....Sit any faster and every truck in creation will be in front of you, sit any lower and they will all be behind you....

If the trucks are travelling at about 90 the best and safest way to travel is about the same speed. I let anyone wanting to go faster past as soon as I can. I invariably catch up to them a few minutes later as they look for smewhere to pass the next truck...

Drive carefully and the road is fine.

At Spring junction, you can go to the burger caravan next to the petrol station. I was disappointed by the bakery across the road where they just throw food in the cabinet and it did not look that fresh.

my house to lyttleton was 4 hours 40 before the lewis pass became the main road.

I have been on that road last week and Between nelson and Murchison was madness, Took 2 hours instead of the usual time. So much traffic and SO MANY IMPATIENT IDIOT Drivers!!
